Weaving Colors is honored to welcome Felicia Nevarez, M.Ed.



The Autism Programs at the UNM Center for Development & Disability currently offers presentations for Native American families. The series, “Weaving Colors” will be presented the third Wednesday of each month from 1:00-2:30 pm (MT) in webinar format. Every month, a new topic will be presented to families over the internet using zoom. This free webinar series will offer an opportunity for participants to engage and discuss the topic, as well as connect with other Native families.



**The Weaving Colors training series is open to everyone and offers ASL interpretation**

Title of Session: Family and Provider Perspectives in the response to Autism supports in home and community settings



Presented by: Felicia Nevarez, M.Ed.



This presentation will discuss how socially significant behaviors & skills can look different in traditional Native family environments and emphasize the importance of listening to individual family values and beliefs as it plays a critical role in developing a trusting rapport with all involved.
