Good morning!

I hope some of us can attend this year's NIEA conference on October 18 - 21 in Albuquerque, NM.

I've been going to them for several years and get a lot out of them while bringing a lot to them.

I have had a session accepted for Education Day (10/18) and am looking for panelists.


Title: Educators and Librarians



This panel, led by Dr. John Sandstrom (Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma), will discuss the ways that educators and librarians can form partnerships to the advantage of our Native American students.  Panelists (still being determined) will include school, public, academic, and special librarians from both tribal and non-tribal libraries.



Learning Outcomes:

  *   Increased knowledge of library services
  *   Increased ability to network with librarians
  *   A better understanding of the librarian's place in education

Education Day is free, so if you are local to Albuquerque and only come for that day, there is no charge.
