Michael Albert is a collage artist who will be in New Mexico the first week in July.  He is looking to do workshops at different libraries during that week.  His info and fees are below. He is flexible and willing to work with your budget.

Brings the famous "Modern Pop Art Experience" TO YOUR LIBRARY, SCHOOL, MUSEUM or OTHER SPECIAL ART EVENT! Michael Albert is the Artist/Author known for making collages from Cereal boxes.
This unique program consists of: Special Artist / Author Visit & Talk, Hands-On Collage Workshop & Free Poster Giveaway & Signing!

  1.  THE BOOK  Please acquire a copy of Albert's Artist Autobiography, "An Artist's America" published by Henry Holt & Co (2008). Albert has soft cover copies available for sale for $25
  2.  POP ART EXHIBITION of Albert's prints. Mr. Albert will provide the library with a set of at least 14 of his posters which can be displayed as informally as with tacks & tape on a bulletin board-or framed/mounted in the community room, etc to make a great Modern Pop Art Show for all to enjoy. These are to be kept by the Library after the program. **Please Note: FORMAL GALLERY EXHIBITIONS of Framed Artworks may also be arranged.
  3.  ARTIST/AUTHOR VISIT Meet the Artist!! He will make a short presentation introducing himself & his art to the group, which is great for Children, Teens, Adults & as a Multi-Generational event.
  4.  CEREAL BOX COLLAGE WORKSHOP Mr. Albert's FAMOUS Hands-On Recycled Pop Art Workshop is great for people 5 yrs & up. Kids 5-7 and even younger kids can participate with Adult help. **Mr. Albert brings all needed materials (scissors & glue for 50 people). And, to help get everyone in the mood for a Pop Art Experience, venues are asked to collect Cereal Boxes & other cardboard packages (including cookies, crackers, frozen pizza, soda, etc) also cardboard backings or corrugated boxes cut into 8" X 10" size pieces for the bases of the collages (1 per participant) -NO Card stock please, it's too thin...
  5.  FREE POSTER GIVEAWAY & SIGNING for all participants & library staff!! Albert will offer prints, post cards & bookmarks, compliments of the artist which he will be happy to sign.
  6.  BOOK & POSTER SIGNING Mr. Albert will have copies available for sale which the artist can sign & personalize.
  7.  PROGRAM FEES Regular Booking single program $375.00 Block Booking $350 *if you help Albert get another nearby (or not so nearby) library, and each receives a $25 discount, Double Session for 2 programs back to back at the same library $325 each. **Special Multiple Day & System-Wide Deals available for 10 programs or more.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          General Outline of the Modern Pop Art Program    The program is for up to 40-50 participants. The Regular Program is a 2-hour session for either: Children (School age & Up), Teens/Tweens, Adults or as a combines Multi-Generational Program. **It starts with a 30 minute presentation, **Hands-On Workshop approximately 1 hour, + 30 minutes wrap up, clean up FREE POSTER GIVEAWAY & SIGNING FOR ALL.  Program Needs: Tables & Chairs, Community Room or Designated Are to Work. Albert brings everything else! Library staff & program participants can bring in cereal & other boxes to add to the pile!

AMERICAN POP Artist   MICHAEL ALBERT   (American, born 1966)
Albert has been creating ART since his college days at New York University, where he studied business (BPA, 1984-1988). After visiting many of the great museums in NYC and viewing some of the world's greatest masterpieces of art, he began his own artistic pursuits.  His art has evolved from doodles and Pen & Ink to serious wax oil drawings, to the cubist mosaic Cereal box collages he has become known for internationally. Albert is a prolific artist who, over the past 35 years, has created literally thousands of original works of art including drawings & collages. many of his works can be viewed on his Pinterest Boards at www.pinterest.com/sirrealjuice/<http://www.pinterest.com/sirrealjuice/>  In the past two decades, he has been creating large-scale "Epic" collage works on various themes including History, Literature, Religion & Philosophy, Music, Poetry & Lyrics, Botany/Landscapes, Logo Montages, Color Studies, Abstract Art, Mathematics & Geography. Since the publishing of his book, an artist's autobiography titled, "An Artist's America" by Henry Holt in 2008, Albert has developed a traveling Pop Art Enrichment Program & Hands-On Collage Workshop for kids (school age & up), teens, adults & as a multi-generational event called the "Modern Pop Art Experience" which he has brought to more than 1,000 schools, libraries, museums, art festivals & special events in most of the United States & in Europe.
