Good morning youth services staff,

Thank you to everyone who entered the drawing and sharing your memorable childhood books! I really enjoyed reading all your reasons for why they were memorable. Some of them were very touching, so thank you for sharing 😊.

For me, my most memorable book is the Little Golden Book, Tawny Scrawny Lion. I had a cassette tape that read along with the story. The narration was great, and the songs were catchy…I found a cassette tape of it a few years ago and a coworker was lovely enough to make a CD copy for me. I now enjoy giving a copy of the book with the sound recording to friends with children 😊.
