We do something very similar. The DVD cases are out on shelves for patrons to browse. The DVDs are put into these binders:
https://www.amazon.com/Atlantic-9663-5495-Disc-Organizer-discs/dp/B00146I1D2/ref=asc_df_B00146I1D2/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167143363158&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11830221062395179641&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030418&hvtargid=pla-312031455505&psc=1

Then, the binders are put on a shelf behind the front desk.

So that the binders do not constantly need to be rearranged when new DVDs are added, the DVDs behind the desk are numbered as they are catalogued rather than alphabetized. (The DVDs out in the library on circulation shelves are alphabetized.) For example, a patron would find Cinderella under CIN on the DVD shelf out in the library. Then, they would bring the DVD case to the front desk. The DVD case is labeled inside with a number (ex. 284). The librarian at the circulation desk would go to the shelf behind the desk, locate the binder 200-300, then pull out DVD #284.

We are wondering how other Libraries store their DVD's? Right now we have the DVD cases on the shelves for patrons to browse thru and the discs behind the front counter in sleeves in a filing cabinet. How does your library store and display DVD's?
