Subject: [ARSL_MEMBERSHIP] Beauty and the Beak

I was asked to share this with ARSL members.    Beauty and the Beak is a nonfiction picture book about Beauty, the wild bald eagle that made world news when she was illegally shot, rescued, and received a pioneering, 3D-printed prosthetic beak.

Wtih so many children nationwide unable to access public and school libraries, and many without books on hand, the American Association for the Advancement of Science asked my Idaho coauthor Janie Veltkamp to make a video of herself reading Beauty and the Beak aloud.
