Good Monday morning Youth Services staff!
Wasn't it just Monday...? Anyhoo, I just wanted to remind you that today is the deadline to submit theme ideas for Summer Reading 2023! If you have ideas, please submit to https://forms.gle/CWkaiJ2vnAgvKT898. I've been enjoying reading the suggestions as they come in! And just as an FYI, the CSLP will narrow down all the suggestions the State Reps (people like me) submit, then all the State Reps will vote on the top suggestions at our Annual Meeting next year. What I've done the past few years is share out the top suggestions in the Youth Services Facebook group and vote based on what YOU would like to see! So, if you're not a member of the group let me know! (I also did a few SRP giveaways over there this summer.)

Next week (August 29th) is the deadline to submit your librarian survey! If you want to participate in SRP 2020 you must fill out the librarian survey! So far, I have 65 libraries and usually get around 90 so there's still a lot of you who have not filled it out! This is one of the last reminders I'll send so, PLEASE fill it out- this is data that I report to the IMLS which is the federal funding agency of the program so this information (as well as the info gathered in parent surveys) is of vital importance! The deadline to submit your parents surveys is also next week! So far, I've had 48 libraries submit 1184 surveys which is 101 more surveys than last year!! You all have blown past my expectations but I'd love to see even more and get a few more libraries to submit. Last year, we had 51 libraries submit and so far 11 of those haven't submitted this year, which means we've had a lot of new libraries return their parent surveys but I'd love to see those 11 libraries submit too! Remember, I've broken the state into 4 population tiers and the library with the most surveys returned in their tier gets an additional $50 added to their voucher!

And last but not least, I have a giveaway! I think most of the state is back in school by now and I have some back to school goodies to give to one library. All those that email me (not the whole listserv) by noon today, August 19th, just to tell me you've read my email will be entered in to win and I'll let the NPN have its fun!
