Youth Services News Summer reading

We don't get many over about age 8/9. We have a budget and usually buy
something in the >$60 range as a top reader prize (telescope this year). And
every kid who turns in a log gets a tchotchke each time they bring in a lo
(usually leftover giveaways from other programs or events) and get entered
in a raffle for which we have some gift bags with books and dvds. And the
last two years we've been lucky enough to get donated custom bikes from a
local org, which are also part of the raffle.

Bikes aside, we do have some prizes that work for older kids if we notice
them participating. And the tchotchkes could be adjusted with some minimal
expense.

I don't know if that helps.

Thank you
