Greetings, I’m Deborah Martinez, the new public relations specialist supporting New Mexico Arts.

Nominations and applications are now open for the next New Mexico Poet Laureate. The poet supports literacy and enhances education, while promoting arts enrichment in every part of the state, and award includes a $10,000 stipend.  The current poet laureate is Levi Romero of the Embudo Valley of northern New Mexico.



Nominations are open through April 15, 2022.
