[Nmtriblibs] 2018 GO Bonds are finally gone....

Directors,

I'd like to provide a final update on the 2018 GO Bonds.

The close-out of the 2018 GOBs in April 2022 came close on the heels of the 2016 GOBs close-out in April 2021.  That meant for many of you the challenge to spend out your 2018 GOB allocation within basically one year, along with State Aid and ARPA funding. And for the Tribal public libraries, let's throw in the TLP Grant plus additional funding that needed to be addressed.  Oh, and there's also that little matter of a pandemic which helped to pile the stress on most directors' shoulders - where there were libraries w/directors! - and those pesky supply-chain issues.

The bottom line - you, your library staff (for those who have 'em) and your financial staff (for those who still had 'em), libraries were able to rise to the occasion - JOB WELL DONE!  Please forward that message on to staff and finance.

Final numbers:  Public libraries spent out 99.68% of their $4,000,000 allocation. Tribal public libraries spent out 89.39% of their $750,000 allocation.
