The project combines oral history interviews with brief scripted reenactments to explore a little-known transnational education initiative from the early 1970s in which Mexican American students received scholarships to pursue professional training in Mexico. The film examines how this program shaped the education, identity, and professional lives of participants and contributed to service in Spanish-speaking communities in the U.S. Southwest.</div><div class="elementToProof" style="font-size: 12pt; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; text-align: justify; margin: 0in; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;"> </div><div class="elementToProof" style="font-size: 12pt; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; text-align: justify; margin: 0in; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif;">The documentary will include three short reenactment scenes filmed in a simple stage or theater setting with minimal props.
