Below is a email we received from Monte Wright, a guest director and long time patron at the Black Box. He attended “Clown Bar” last night.

SEND IN THE CLOWNS! 
Don't bother they are here!
At the Black Box Theatre. Tonight was the opening of "CLOWN BAR" "A Clown Noir Play". By Adam Szymkowicz. This show is a riot, the audience was responding like melodrama, laughing, screaming, clapping, aaahing. It really is a laugh riot of an evening. I had a big red nose of a night. The set is a perfect sleazy, back-alley bar. Filled with all kinds of clown memorabilia. The excellent cast with; Christian Neves, Lisa Taylor, Rachel Maze, Jeff Peckham, Joseluis Solozano, Conda Douglas, Ed Montes, Rachel Thomas-Chappel, Cassandra Galban, and Aj Tumminaro was the best herd of clowns I have seen. And yes, there is a band with; Cassandra Galban, Garrin Stuart, and Joshua Taulbee, and Joshua also very well directed this miniature car filled with clowns.
This is a take-off on the film noir genre, complete with gangsters and femme-fatales, and a clown gone straight to become a cop. You gotta see this! 

Don't miss it, the circus is only in town for 2 weeks. Remaining performances are:
Friday, August 7 at 8 pm, Saturdays, August 1 and 8 at 8 pm, and Sundays, August 2 and 9 at 2:30 pm.
