[Nstc] Jack and Louise/ Auditions for Home, I m Darling

We had a great write up in The Bulletin by Serena Johnson for our Upcoming 2025-2026 season as well as our current production of Ken Ludwig’s charming play, “Jack and Louise.” She also highlighted “Endgame,” the final production of our past season. 

Remaining performances of “Jack and Louise” are Fridays, August 22 and 29 at 8 pm, Saturdays, August 23 and 30 at 8 pm, Sundays, August 24 and 31 at 2:30 pm and Thursday, August 28 at 7 pm.

NSTC is having additional auditions for “Home, I m Darling” on Saturday, August 23 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Black Box Theatre, 430 N Main Street in Las Cruces

The director is looking to fill the following roles:

Judy - late 30’s; Judy loves the 1950s so much that she and her husband turned their house into a mid-century lookalike and are living not only the style but also the values of the 50s. She is the perfect housewife, the home goddess and the incarnation of many men’s dreams, but under this hides fragility and escapism.

Johnny - late 30’s; Judy’s husband, who willingly dives into the lifestyle change experiment. On the surface content with the reality he is in, but underneath starts to quietly question this contentment.

Alex - late 20’s to early 30’s; Alex is Johnny’s manager. She is fascinated and bewildered by the couple’s way of life. 

Synopsis: Every marriage needs a little fantasy to keep it sparkling. But behind the gingham curtains, being a domestic goddess isn't as easy as it looks... Home, I'm Darling is Laura Wade's new dark comedy about sex, cake and the quest to be the perfect 1950s housewife.
