Does a successful life require hard work? Good luck? Both? And how do we
define those we refer to as “good people? With unusual skill and sensitivity David Linsay-Abaire explores the worlds of both “self-made” success and lingering poverty. Digging beneath the surface of the hard work of success as well as the fortunes and expectations of those who find it harder to come by, Lindsay-Abaire is able to present characters who enable us to see past stereotypes to both very human efforts and very human flaws. His deftly humorous touch enables us to see our strengths as well as our weaknesses with compassion while leaving us with the strength of hope.
