<div dir="ltr">Nadine, we stopped quarantining borrowed materials quite some time ago, but our book covers are wiped down between uses (and the entire book if it is a board book that can stand up to that). The wipe-down was a practice we had in place prior to the pandemic. However, we are taking more time over cleaning toys, LEGOs, puzzles, and games we use during children's programs. We used to just clean primarily the toddler/baby toys, but now we use Vindicator disinfectant spray on all of the shared items. The spray needs to air dry rather that be wiped down, so it does save some staff effort. Typically, staff will spread used toys on a 6-foot table in the processing room and spray down; After it's dry, the toys are turned over so the other side can be sprayed. We still run some things through the sanitizer, but we?re not quarantining. As for newspapers and magazines, we do have those out for people. We?ve eased off most of the heavy COVID-19 safe practices protocol from the state, but we still do some enhanced cleaning and have our plexiglass barriers up. Staff aren?t required to wear masks anymore, but they can if they choose to.<br>
