<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calisto MT",serif">The main thing we discussed at this meeting was the possibility of the state providing an online program, in the way of a Google form. VERY simple and we would also provide paper reading logs
to the libraries to hand out as well. This is only for those libraries that wish to participate, no pressure! It’s just a tool that the State Library can provide to the libraries that need it. I know there’s no way we can meet all the needs as well as make
everyone happy but for those that are interested we would go with majority rules on things like how do we track reading, how long does it last, etc. I’m asking EVERYONE to fill out a quick survey (there is an option for my library isn’t interested). Full details
are in the video linked above. We’re looking at the possibility of providing statewide prizes for those libraries that participate- we would throw all the entrants into one large pot for prizes, most likely gift cards (I’m hoping they’ll be for grocery stores)
and libraries would still have the option of providing weekly prizes. We’re also looking into working with performers to provide online performances that we would make available to you to make available to your patrons- there’s a questions about that in the
survey as well. I know this is all fairly vague, so I ask you to watch today’s recording- it’s the first 20ish minutes of the video, fill out the survey and email if you have questions! I’m asking everyone to fill out the survey by Friday, noon. The link
