Yay, thank-you!

It was especially funny because I was being heckled (good-naturedly) by someone in the audience, who posited I should know All the Words since I was a librarian. When I got that as the last word I waved off the rest of my team, strutted up to the microphone, and said, "Gymkhana, g-y-m-k-h-a-n-a, gymkhana. National Velvet by Enid Bagnold, call number J F Bagn."

Don't heckle a librarian.

Congratulations to Ami Jones from Alamogordo Public Library for winning the book!  Her spelling bee story was
"I won the adult spelling bee in Alamogordo with the word "gymkhana" - which, of course, any good Enid Bagnold fan knows!"

(I learned a new word today!) Her response came in in a record 2 minutes!
