Ami, have you tried Alt + F4? That gets you out of a lot of games.

My only issue with the AWE is that it is SO hard to get out of many of the games. If anyone has a trick, let me know! A few have back or exit buttons, and some if you hover at the bottom of the screen it will pop up, but good old "Ctrl Alt Del" doesn't work, nor does "Escape". Any time I ask the company I am told to install updates, which I do, with no change.
It is helpful to have something with multiple games that is not connected to the internet, though, and which does not require a library card to access!

Carlsbad has AWE computers as well, but we are trying to phase them out. Once they are out of warranty, there is no assistance in fixing them. We have one that cannot be fixed, and we will replace it with a regular computer so kids can use google and do homework.
I am also planning on purchasing launchpads from the launchpad academy. There are three different academies (Pre-K, reading, and STEAM) and there are different levels in each academy).

Corrales uses AWE computers too and we did have a problem with one of
our machines recently (because it was ancient). AWE responded and helped
