Hi Linda -

It's been awhile since I have played with it but I found I could order 
the 3D printer filament in bulk at a lower price. I was working for a 
larger library at the time and there was no charge to patrons for the 
printer but it was used in programming rather than as an opportunity to 
print large items.

I would think for sewing machines it would be a "bring your own" type 
thing unless it is also being used in programming, in which case maybe 
charge a materials fee to cover costs?
