Youth Services News [EXTERNAL] Re: [EXT] DVD storage

Our DVDs and CDs are on the shelves just like books.  The discs are in the cases.  We use programmable security tags (stingrays) to help deter theft.  Though, of course, it does happen.

All of our DVDs are in lock boxes and on the shelves in our media department.  They are unlocked once they are checked out.

We are wondering how other Libraries store their DVD's? Right now we have the DVD cases on the shelves for patrons to browse thru and the discs behind the front counter in sleeves in a filing cabinet. How does your library store and display DVD's?
