Youth Services News CSLP election results and more!

Good afternoon Youth Services staff!
I hope you all had a great weekend and recognize that today is the saddest day of any year- the last day of summer... I wanted to let you all know the results of the CSLP elections held last week. The slogan for SRP 2022 (Oceanography, art by Sophie Blackall) is... Oceans of Possibility! And the theme for 2024 (art by Juana Martinez-Neal) is... Adventure! And both of those are what the state of New Mexico cast their votes for! Those were the OVERWHELMING pick by you all! And on a personal note, I will no longer be the chair of the Vendor committee. I have been voted as the next Vice-President/President-Elect, with my term beginning in January. I'm sad to be leaving Vendor a year early but so excited to take on this new role within the organization!

I also wanted to share this great program write up from the Silver City Public Library in the Programming Librarian about their virtual Minecraft club https://programminglibrarian.org/programs/virtual-minecraft-club.

And a reminder that if your patrons are participating in the Land of Enchantment Book Award, voting ends this Saturday 9/26! Ballots and book lists can be found at: https://loebookaward.wordpress.com/. And for those that don't know, the Land of Enchantment Book Award is awarded in 4 age categories to the best book voted on my the students of New Mexico!
