  *   9:30-10:30 am, Wednesday, December 9
  *   2:30-3:30 pm, Friday, December 11

You are cordially invited to a week of hands-on, interactive professional development for libraries, museums and cultural institutions, designed to help you reach your community and rediscover the joy in your work during these challenging times.

Weeklong Workshop, one hour daily
Kennedy Center teaching artist Mimi Herman, a writer with a passion for books, the arts, history, and science, will engage you in activities you can use to make lively and interactive online and take-away experiences. She’ll facilitate opportunities for you to collaborate across disciplines, help you find ways to bring back the joy in your work, and ease some of the social and emotional stressors we’re all experiencing.

Concierge Service: Three Follow-up Office Hour Sessions

Mimi will also provide “Concierge Service” the following week: a chance for you to meet with her in smaller groups to brainstorm solutions for the specific problems your organization is facing. Once everyone has registered, you’ll be able to sign up for the office hours of your choice.

Free of charge

Your week of professional development and optional concierge hours are free of charge, provided by The Power of Story in Communities, a collaborative project of the Santa Fe Opera, NM State Library, and Embudo Valley Library. Funding provided by National Endowment for the Humanities, New Mexico Library Foundation, and NM Department of Cultural Affairs.
