Good Monday morning everyone!
I hope you all had a restful, relaxing weekends (that you didn't spend screaming at the TV because the show recommended to you is terrifying and causes you to cover your eyes and scream in terror...)! Anyhoo... time to think about the FUTURE!!! I know that Imagine Your Story is all we can think about right now but we need to take a brief trip to the near future and think about 2022 AND 2024! In case you don't remember, CSLP switched program years 2022 and 2023. Oceanography is now the theme for 2022 and we need a slogan for it and 2023 is All Together Now and we're working as an organization to figure out a theme that is cohesive and covers all the topics (community, kindness, friendship, etc.). We're also in need of theme suggestions for 2024!

  * CSLP's 2022 theme is "Oceanography" and the artist is Sophie Blackall. What slogan suggestions do you have for this theme? For Example: "Dive Into Reading" or "Splash Around with a Good Book." You can suggest up to 5 slogans
  * CSLP plans summer library programs far out in order to book artists and begin drafting manuals. Please share theme suggestions (not a slogan) for the summer of 2024. For example: Art, Music, or Space. You can suggest up to 3 themes
     * Please remember this is a national program and these themes need to be appropriate for the entire country (and territories). I always appreciate the suggestions for places in New Mexico but, sadly, that won't work.
     * Just as an FYI, please don't suggest things around food- I've discussed this in workshops but I'll mention it here as well. Food insecurity is so prevalent in our state (and around the country) that having a program centered around food is cruel (not to mention difficult to program around with the abundance of food allergies and dietary restrictions). Too many children (and adults) go hungry, especially in the summer when they're not in school. CSLP will never have a food theme and I will never suggest one as your state rep, so if you suggest one I will just disregard your suggestion.

Please fill out the survey at https://forms.gle/S2ffsY7NvmHMDNpd6 by July 14th, 1:00 p.m. If you are wondering about past themes and slogans, take a look at https://www.cslpreads.org/programs/years-of-cslp-themes/<https://www.cslpreads.org/programs/years-of-cslp-themes/>. Your input informs my submissions to the Collaborative Summer Library Program. All public libraries in New Mexico are members of CSLP and have input and access to their materials, thanks to support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
