Youth Services News Summer Reading question

We do a BINGO type board that is open-ended enough for any age group. It includes activities as well as reading categories. We tried minutes for a while, but as a Mom I found that hard to keep track of and I ended up guessing most of the time!
Our adult program goes by books, but I think by that age people are on a more level playing field, and it seems to work for them.

Subject: Youth Services News Summer Reading question
Good morning Youth Services staff!
I received a question this morning that I thought I would put to you all: how do you run the reading component of a Summer Reading Program? Do you track minutes, books, chapters? Do you use a BINGO sheet? Is there a passive component of your program that someone new could possibly implement?
I know how some of you run it, and those that have shared their materials with me I do share out but I just thought I’d get the conversation going for those that might need some inspiration or are thinking of changing it up a bit.
Feel free to respond to the listserv so everyone can read the answers!
