Good Friday afternoon Youth Services staff!
Below is a series of webinars that your younger patrons might be interested in! Please share as you see fit (and are able):

Pacific Marine Mammal Center, a rescue and rehabilitation center in Laguna Beach, California, will be offering a series of free webinars next week. Webinars are interactive and aligned with NGSS and Ocean Literacy principles.

Stewards of the Sea (ages 8 - 12) - 45 Minutes (4/21/20, 1 PM PST)
Explores how essential a clean watershed is to the functioning of our planet. Students hear stories of our marine mammal patients who have been entangled in trash and rehabilitated. Children learn how our day to day actions and choices make a difference.


Marine Mammal Senses (ages 5 - 7) - 30 Minutes (4/23/20, 1 PM PST)
Learn about the sensory systems of marine mammals and adaptations that allow them to live in the ocean environment.


Marine Mammal Rescue and Rehab (ages 8 - 14) - 45 Minutes (4/24/20, 1 PM PST)
Learn how we rescue marine mammals and nurse them back to health in order to give them a second chance at life.
