Youth Services News Summer Reading 2020 Artwork

Good afternoon Youth Services staff-
Some of you may have seen this on social media or heard me talk about it in a workshop, but for those that haven't, I wanted to share with you CSLP's official statement on the artwork for Summer Reading 2020, Imagine Your Story. I've attached it to this email, you can also read it at https://www.cslpreads.org/.

CSLP has removed all 4 posters from the online store and have replaced them one image of three children holding a book. Because our voucher orders were placed prior to this statement, if you had those posters in your voucher order, you will be receiving the original images. Per the statement:

            We ask that all member libraries consider the message shared above and to use your best
judgement when representing cultures outside your own. If you received an early shipment of
print materials and would like a refund or replacement, please send your request, along with
your order number, to custserv at cslpreads.org. If you have access to the original manual art,
CSLP is granting additional flexibility on how the artwork may be used. For the program year
2020, member libraries may modify the CSLP artwork to conform to their personal, or
institutional standards of inclusivity.
