Youth Services News Summer Reading dates

Good morning Youth Services staff!
Can you believe it's almost June???? Where did April and May go?? Anyway, if you have not yet sent me your kickoff and ending dates and would like to share, please do so as well as any fun or exciting events you're holding this year- I'd love to come hang out at your library and see a fun performer, or cool science experiment or celebrate at your end of the summer celebration!

Don't forget to ask your parents and caregivers to fill out the summer surveys, these are vitally important for the continued funding of the program! There's a quick, survey link as well as QR codes, PDFs of the paper version and bookmark templates with the QR codes. I've added the survey links here and if you'd like the other files, let me know! I'm also expecting every library to submit their paper versions online this year- you'll be inputting the answers into the SurveyMonkey link- it's not difficult and as the summer progress I'll be sending out instructions on how to do that. I'll be rewarding the libraries with the most surveys returned in their population tier with an additional $50 voucher for next year. I also have 2 sets of bags I'm giving away today! One is a set of 12 browsing bags and one is a set of 10 backpacks (there's two different designs and you get 5 of each) to 2 libraries that can answer me this question: how many standing and ad hoc committees are there currently in the CSLP and who are their chairs? Email your answer only to me (not the whole listserv) as well as which set of bags you'd like: browsing or backpack, and I'll pull one winner for each set of bags. Deadline is Friday, May 24th by noon
