Good morning Youth Services staff!
I have two pieces of exciting news: new STEM to Read trunks are available for checkout AND the CSLP has announced the 2019 Summer Reading champions!

STEM to Read
Explora has provided us with 4 new STEM to Read trunks! They are Space Exploration, Geometry Party, Imagine! Design! Make! and a duplicate of Creature Features! Details and descriptions can be found on The Hitchhiker<http://hitchhiker.nmstatelibrary.org/new-stem-to-read-trunks-available-for-public-libraries/>. Those that attended the workshops Explora held for us in March have first dibs on the Space trunk but if you're interested in getting your name on the list, please let me know! I'm also hoping that we will be able to purchase a duplicate of it before Summer Reading ends so everyone can have a chance with it. If not, it's still a great programming for the rest of the year! Summer Reading Champions
It's taken a little longer than usual to announce the new Summer Reading Champions but it's worth the wait, I promise! This year there are 6 champions are they are:

  *   Dr. Kjell Lindgren: Astronaut!
  *   Dr. Lindy Elkin-Tanton: Scientist
  *   Dr. Seth Shostak: Astronomer
  *   Dr. Michelle Thaller: Communications Director
  *   Erin Teagan: Author
  *   Arika Egan: Graduate Student
