I loved ALL of your entries for the sets of space books and I wish I could give everyone who entered a set or at least something but alas, I cannot. The winners with excerpts of their reasoning are:

"we would like to show our new coworker, Sarah that we are indeed some awesome, cool, fun, creative and lucky coworkers. Lastly, I would love to read these books to our SRP group this Summer. BTW IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW......DEANNE DEKLE IS AWESOME, SHE IS INDEED THE REAL MVP!! WE ARE SO GREATFUL FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR THE LIBRARIES ACROSS NEW MEXICO!!"

"Let me tell you why those space books belong in Sunland Park Library with these 5 key points.....

  1.  These books are on space, right? When you sit to ponder on outer space (quite often I imagine) what comes to mind? The stars, planets, galaxies, astronauts, asteroids and of course the SUN! SUN as in Sunland Park Library! If you really, really, really think about it Sunland Park Library is always on your mind!
  2.  Who can forget about the sun, our source of energy! The Sun whose light reaches millions of miles in distance. Just like the sun, we in Sunland Park Library reach our community in a million different ways.
  3.  The sun is hotttt!! (no further explanation needed)
  4.  The sun is sensitive...
  5.  You love the warmth provided by the SUN! We, in Sunland Park Library do to!!

So you see, the SUN is at the top of your favorites list, you just hadn't realized it yet. Since the SUN and Sunland Park Library go hand in hand, it means you love us just as much and are at the top of your giveaway list too.
In conclusion, show Sunland Park Library your love and award us those space books! It's essential to your happiness"

"I think Embudo Valley Library should get a set of books because our weekly SRP attendance will decrease by more than 50% this week and next.  Most kids in the Dixon Solar System are attending "Reaching for the Stars" Drama Camp down the road.  As stellar as Drama Camp's attendance is, we are left with a bit of a black hole.  The kids get stars in their eyes and their heads float in the clouds for two weeks.  But when they orbit back to the library, they can have truly celestial experiences mooning over these books!"

Honorable mentions because they made me laugh out loud:
Alamogordo: I asked my teen volunteers for more reasons and they gave me blank looks. Finally, (after I told them they were useless - we always speak positively here) one of them said, "We have no thoughts in our heads, so we need those books to fill our heads up."

Estancia: I need those books because there is a SPACE in my head where my brains used to be!
We have empty SPACE at the Library that needs to be filled by SPACE books!
The aliens are bugging me for SPACE books, because they are so tasty!
