Forum (IILF) was held in Aotearoa (New Zealand) by Te Rōpū Whakahau, the leading Māori librarian association, with support from the American Indian Library Association (AILA), the leading Native American and Tribal library association. IILF would be the first
ever international meeting between Indigenous information professionals and the first to offer a uniquely Indigenous, forum-style space for Native librarians and knowledge keepers to gather, discuss, and share the projects, plans, and hardships specific to
their communities and the collections and institutions that serve them. </span></p>
