<a name="_Hlk129458508">HB 505, the Capital Outlay Projects Bill.</a> They amended the bill to include all the projects that they had selected through negotiations over the past several weeks, funding around 2,800 projects at a cost of $1,234,519,983. (That
is $1.2 B as in Billion dollars.) </span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">As detailed in Legislative Bulletin # 11, many of the library projects submitted by individual legislators were selected for funding. As is typical with legislative capital outlay funding, most
of the appropriations are less that the originating agencies had requested. As shown in the attached updated chart, twenty-six projects requested by legislators were included in HB 505, with a total funding of $5,168,780. The original requests sought $18,893,870
in funding. </span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

Derrick Lente, Regis Pecos and the Tribal Education Initiative. Tribal library construction funding had been part of bills that Rep. Lente had introduced in the past three sessions.
