The Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums (ATALM) has awarded $3.26 million in funding to help Native Cultural Institutions recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and provide humanities programming to their communities. Funds were provided by the
National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 passed by the U.S. Congress. </div>

Through the “Sustaining the Humanities through the American Recovery Plan” (SHARP), 84 Native Cultural organizations representing 25 states were granted awards ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. Funds will support staff retention, general operations, humanities-based
programming, and cultural activities.<br>
