<p>You know those sponsored ads that appear at the top of a Google search? How would you like to have your library show up there?<br>

<p>Amy Schaefer from the State Library's Public Services Bureau turned up some older, but still relevant information on Google's Ad Words for non-profits grant program.<br>
</p>
<p><br>
</p>
<p>"Wait!" you say. "My library's not a non-profit." If you have a Friends Group, Foundation, etc. associated with you, then they can qualify and use the ads to promote you. And, of course, several NM public libraries ARE 501(c)3 organizations.<br>

<p><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:black">While doing some research on advertising/marketing/outreach for the SW collection, I ran across some information on free Google ads for non-profits. While government agencies can't claim these
 awards, affiliated non-profit organization like library foundations and friends groups can. Maybe you already know about this, but if not it seems like something worth investigating!
