The Festival begins this Thursday, April 25.

What: Second Annual Native American Theater Festival. Spanning 10 days, this festival includes five performances of this year's featured play: Beauty Way: Into the Matriarchy. This interactive storytelling and multimedia performance features the narratives, experiences, and cultural history of matriarchal Native, Indigenous, and Chicana Women. Through narration, Spider Woman, a traditional Navajo deity, un-webs the stories of these women who come up against everyday personal struggles, self-identity, and inequality in the world.

Beauty Way: Into the Matriarchy will be accompanied at the festival by several staged readings, conversations, Q&As, talkbacks, remarks, refreshments and more.

Tickets cost $12 for staged readings and $17 theatrical performances. Discounts for both are available for seniors 60 years or older, children 10 and under, and NHCC Foundation members.
