[Nmtriblibs] Quarterly Delivery Schedule and "LibCal" changes

Hi Library Directors!

Our new delivery service has developed a quarterly calendar to ensure regular deliveries to all libraries at least four times a year, developed by our delivery team of Liana Morales and Guillermo Martinez.   I am attaching the current schedule here, so you have quick access to your upcoming delivery dates.  We are in the process of developing a calendar on our website to provide updated delivery dates and times, as there will almost certainly be changes as we adapt delivery routes and adjust times.

We are very pleased and excited to see how well received our new delivery service is.  Books, STEM Trunks, travelling exhibits, coloring books, activity kits, and informational flyers (among many other things) have been extremely popular, and it has been great to see these items get unprecedented use.  In the future we will be piloting a Large Print deposit collection service, book club sets, and more.

Due to the popularity of "LibCal" items (https://nmstatelibrary.org/circulating-kits/) it has been difficult to offer timely and regular delivery, so we need to make an adjustment.  From now on, we will request that you reserve LibCal items based on your set delivery schedule.  Since we will see you once every three months, we ask that you order your LibCal items with your specific quarterly schedule in mind.  For example, if you need something in July, but your deliveries are scheduled for May and August, we ask that you order the items you need for July so they can be delivered in May and returned in August.   LibCal has been updated to reflect these changes with a three month check out period.

Does this mean that we will never deliver something outside your regular delivery schedule?  Not necessarily--we will try to be as responsive as we can to "special requests" and extenuating circumstances, but just be aware that our capacity is limited.
