Save the date: Sept. 26–27 Tribal Education Community Institute



Dear Tribal Librarians,



Please save the date for this year’s Tribal Education Community Institute, convened by the Leadership Institute (Santa Fe Indian School). The convening will take place on Tuesday, September 26th and Wednesday, September 27th (with an option to arrive and stay Monday night) at the Embassy Suites in Albuquerque.



We will shortly send out invitations and registration forms to all New Mexico Tribes, Pueblos and Nations. The purpose of the Community Institute is to bring together tribal education departments, tribal libraries, tribal language programs, and tribal early educators to discuss tribal education needs and plans. We hope these conversations will support internal tribal coordination as well as external advocacy. The Tribal Education Alliance<https://tribaleducationalliance.org/> will use this information to develop its advocacy for the 2024 New Mexico legislative session.
