Yá’át’ééh AILA Family!

I hope you are all doing well. We've had three seasons here on the Navajo Nation the last three days and things have finally calmed down!

I wanted to reach out and invite you all to a 2-part webinar that is being hosted by an NEH/AHRC grant that I am a part of. The Kinyaa’áanii Library participated in a cultural exchange with various institutions in London, UK, and in turn we hosted Ms. Sarah French from the University of Kent (who some of you might have seen me with last October at ATALM). Together we road tripped around northern AZ and NM to various cultural heritage institutions to talk about ethical collaboration between Indigenous and non-Indigenous institutions in vastly different locations. My account on that whole experience can be read here<https://stacks.wellcomecollection.org/holding-space-the-indigenous-knowledges-project-at-the-halfway-point-59dad1b40f4b>.

If you are able, please join us next Wednesday and Thursday at 9am MDT for Indigenous Knowledges in Digital Spaces. The first day's speaker panel will include Jennifer O’Neal (University of Oregon), Peter Runge (Cline Library, Northern Arizona University), Jonathan Pringle (University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center), and Sandy Littletree (University of Washington). The second day's speaker panel will be: Jane Anderson (New York State University/ Local Contexts), Alex Merrill (University of Washington/ Mukurtu), Jennifer Jenkins (University of Arizona/ Tribesourcing Southwest Film), and myself, Rhiannon Sorrell (Diné College/ Tribesourcing Southwest Film).

Registration is at Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/cc/indigenous-knowledges-in-digital-spaces-1975949

Hope to see you all there!

Ahxéhee’ dóó ada’ahoolyą́, t’áá anołtsoh!
Thank you and take care everyone!
