New Mexico Broadband Collective Technical Assistance Grant
The New Mexico Broadband Collective Technical Assistance Grant, managed by Groundworks New Mexico, will award grants of up to $7,000 to nonprofit organizations, Tribes, Nations, and Pueblos, organizations with a fiscal sponsor, and eligible local government entities to support technical assistance needs related to development and improvement of broadband connectivity. The New Mexico Broadband Collective encourages applications from rural communities, tribes, nations, and pueblos, and hard-to-connect communities. The deadline to apply is November 11, 2022.

National Tribal Broadband Grant (NTBG)
The Office of Indian Economic Development (OIED) is soliciting proposals from federally recognized Indian Tribes listed as Indian Entities Recognized by and Eligible to Receive Services from the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs at 87 FR 4636 (January 28, 2022) for NTBG grants.

The purpose of the NTBG is to improve the quality of life, spur economic development and commercial activity, create opportunities for self-employment, enhance educational resources and remote learning opportunities, and meet emergency and law enforcement needs by bringing broadband services to Native American communities that lack them. Feasibility studies funded through NTBG will assist Tribes to make informed decisions regarding deployment or expansion of broadband in their communities.

Who is eligible for E-Rate funding? Public or private schools (K-12), libraries, and groups of schools and libraries, such as consortia, districts, and systems, are eligible to apply for discounts on eligible services.

What services are eligible for E-Rate discounts? Category one provides connectivity to a school or library building, which includes telecommunications services and internet access. Category two provides internet access within schools or libraries, which includes internal connections, basic maintenance of internal connections, and managed internal broadband services.

How does the E-Rate program work?
