[Nmtriblibs] STEAM Trek -- free virtual field trips

Hi!

If you have any space left in your Summer Reading plans, I just learned of a new free program from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History Foundation.  There are several Ocean tie-ins: https://www.naturalhistoryfoundation.org/steam-trek .  See Sharlene's email below.


My name is Sharlene Argyres and I work for the NM Museum of Natural History Foundation as the Director of Operations.  We have a great program called STEAM Trek Virtual Field Trips.  This program enables teachers/educators/groups to apply for a FREE  Virtual Field Trip on our website.  They will receive a link in which they can stream one of our amazing films that we normally show in our giant screen DynaTheater.  This allows many students across our state who may not otherwise be able to visit our Museum to enjoy the shows.  We have raised the money to pay for these fieldtrips from our donors so there is absolutely no cost to educators/groups.

A couple of notes on the application form<http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=tl5km7uab&oeidk=a07eizgwpyr765f70b5>:

  *   For School Name, use your Library Name
  *   For School District, use your County
  *   The form only allows you to select one film, but she has enough funding for you to show more than one if you would like to do a series.  You'll just need to email her directly to let her know which additional films you would like.
