Subject: Joy Harjo, US Poet Laureate, in Santa Fe in Wed, March 2, 2022 St. Francis Auditorium
Dear Friends,
I want to share an incredible opportunity to see United States Poet Laureate Joy Harjo (Muscogee (Creek) Nation) in Santa Fe on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the New Mexico Museum of Art St. Francis Auditorium, at 6 pm.
Harjo will use poetry and storytelling to create a sense of place, inspired by the reimagined exhibit, Here, Now and Always, opening this summer at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC). This event is hosted by the Museum of New Mexico Foundation and MIAC.
General admission is $25, and ticket proceeds benefit the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture's exhibitions and educational programs.
The event will also be livestreamed, and access is free with advanced registration. More information is available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/here-now-and-always-with-joy-harjo-tickets-255299697267.
*The Museum Foundation requires a proof of vaccination for in-person attendance. 25% of seats will be left vacant for social-distancing purposes. The in-person event is subject to change based on the New Mexico Health Department Covid-19 policies or wishes of the speaker. If the in-person event is cancelled, ticket holders will be refunded.
Please find the complete press release here<http://media.newmexicoculture.org/release/1386/joy-harjo-us-poet-la>, and learn more about the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs here<https://nmculture.org>.
