Hello Tribal Library Directors,
As I was watching the evening news last night I was interested in a story that featured Lee Francis (Laguna) and his Comic Shop on Central and Park SW. Mr Francis offers a variety of Native Comics, so I thought that the following link might be a good way to introduce Comics to the students who visit your library. Or to fill a request from Patrons who have an interest in comics. Plus who doesn't want to know what their superpower is? Here's a link to Red Planet Books & Comics (Mr. Francis's store): https://www.facebook.com/redplanetbooksabq/. Enjoy!
Best wishes,
Faye

Hello All,
I wanted to share the most recent podcast from Julie's Library that features What's My Superpower? by Aviaq Johnston. The book is read aloud and discussed on the podcast. The link also has some activities and backstory. What's My Superpower? is an award winning book from Inuit owned publishing house, Inhabit Media.

Join icon Julie Andrews for story time! Julie and her daughter, children's author Emma Walton Hamilton, read the...
This might be a fun resource to share with families, especially because Inuit actress Miali Buscemi reads the book and the author talks about her life growing up in Igloolik.
Thanks,
