Directors,
This is September 1, 2020 - what does that mean for GO Bonds? It means, You have seven months in which to get all your reimbursement requests into the State Library.
While I know, under the current circumstances, that some of you may not even be into work right now, you do need to keep in touch w/your Finance staff or Fiscal Agent so your purchases can be done in a timely manner and you're not scrambling to get all the paperwork in at the last minute.
I have attached a spreadsheet which shows the up-to-date dollar amounts submitted for reimbursement. Please note the following:
1. Only Jemez Pueblo Community Library and the Pueblo of San Felipe Community Library have spent their total allocation. Thank you very much, and the Legislative Finance Committee thanks you very much.
2. Tribal Public Libraries still have 50.69% available for reimbursements. Your paperwork needs to be into the State Library by April 1, 2021. There are no extensions with GO Bonds as per your Grant Agreement.
3. You'll note that three dollar amounts are in RED font - those requests are waiting on my desks for further action. I've sent emails out to those directors/finance staff. Please contact me by email if you don't know what might be the problem w/those reimbursements. I'm glad to give you a call to discuss and decide how to proceed.
4. For those of you w/a few hundred dollars left, please do NOT leave this money "on the table" - spend it on something! If that were money laying on the ground, would you just walk past it? Perhaps toner cartridges for your printer, a phone bill (only if it's in the library's name), 10 books from Walmart (please save that receipt!), processing materials (barcodes?) or DVD cases, a charging station, wi-fi hotspots - please review: 2016 GO Bonds - Guidance Sheet<http://www.nmstatelibrary.org/images/development/GO_Bonds_Guidance_Sheet.docx>: what is eligible for reimbursement.
In previous GO Bond cycles:
2008 GO Bonds - Tribal public libraries spent 97.23% of its $2,000,000 allocation
2010 GO Bonds - Tribal public libraries spent 99.72% of its $1,000,000 allocation
allocation
2012 GO Bonds - Tribal public libraries spent 99.98% of its $700,000 allocation
2014 GO Bonds - Tribal public libraries spent 99.77% of its $800,000 allocation
And, now...
**2016 GO Bonds - Tribal public libraries spent 100% of its $750,000 allocation??!!
Let me hear from you soon so we can get this done w/o too much misery on your part or mine. [cid:image003.png at 01D6805D.521574A0]
Thank you,
Patricia
