Hi Faye,
This is great information. Thank you for sharing with those of us who couldn’t attend.
I did not see Debbie Reese’s info: https://americanindiansinchildrensliterature.blogspot.com/ which is always a great source in case you have to argue major points with Education Directors, Leadership, and community members who do not understand why you have or don’t have certain titles in your collections.
Also, University of Arizona Press https://uapress.arizona.edu/ is another great source for Native American and Southwest related titles.
Thanks, again, for the information.

Subject: [Nmtriblibs] PPT, Retreat and Yesterday's Hearing
Good Morning, Tribal Librarians,
As promised I am sending along (in 4 parts) the PPT that I presented on Monday. Also I would like to give a very special shout out to Teresa Naranjo, Janice Kowemy and Tracey Charlie for attending the Indian Affairs Commission hearing yesterday in Farmington. I know what a long drive it is to go up to Farmington for any hour of testimony, but you all would have been so proud of your Tribal Library Directors colleagues. They each added important information and we did receive some feedback on drafting future legislation. I would also like to thank the Tribal Librarians who made the effort to attend the retreat on Monday. I learned a lot (as I always do, in the company on other librarians 😊) and I hope that all of you who attended picked up at least a few helpful tips. Please find the first of four parts of Monday’s PPT. Thank you all for all you do to make your libraries such successful and important hubs of your community.
Best wishes,
Faye
