Good Afternoon,
The Jemez Pueblo Community Library utilize his talents a few years ago for the Stories from the Land Program. The participants and staff really enjoyed his time. Emmett Shkeme Garcia is a Children's Book Author, Native American Storyteller, and has a Native Roots Reggae Band. Information I thought I share.
Thank you for your time,
Maureen

Subject: [Nmtriblibs] A Couple of Good Books
Good Morning, Tribal Library Directors,
In a conversation I had earlier today, I learned of a Pueblo author (Santa Ana) named Emmett Garcia. Perhaps you all have already heard about him. He has written at least two books that focus on Pueblo stories. Both of the books are available via UNM Press. The titles of the books are Coyote and the Sky - How the Sun, Moon, and Stars Began (https://unmpress.com/books/coyote-and-sky/9780826337306) and Sister Rabbit's Tricks (https://unmpress.com/books/sister-rabbits-tricks/9780826352682). I hope that this information is helpful. Just FYI, I will be out of the office tomorrow (my niece is visiting for a few days). I will be back at work mid-day on Monday. Until then, have a great weekend!
Best wishes,
Faye
