Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to let everybody know that I won't be able to attend this meeting - my niece is in town and I am taking the day off.  I am sorry that I won't be able to attend because I had hoped to talk about the Tribal Library Directors' Retreat. We haven't set the day yet, but I am looking at the week of September 9 - 13, 2019.  Please let me know if there is a day that week that is better for you.  I think that we will have the Retreat at the Pueblo of Isleta (is that still okay, Nate?).  Just wanted to let you all know what is going on with me. Thank you so much.

Subject: NALSIG Meeting August 23

Save Friday, August 23rd for the next NALSIG meeting. It will be at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, 2401 12th St. NW in Albuquerque. The meeting is in the Pat Reck Room in the lower level. Use the stairs or elevator on the north side, at the end of the Museum. The meeting will start at 10:00 am.

Val Fernando will be sending out an agenda.  A major topic will be reports on the Pueblo Education Convocation, in which over 100 educators, tribal leaders and advocates discussed the next steps in implementing the Yazzie Martinez public school funding decision. Regis Pecos included a group session about Tribal Libraries and the Internet. We will be seeking funding in the 2020 Legislature for library construction, staffing and robust internet. js
