Good Morning, Tribal Library Directors,
I will be calling each of you this morning.  The purpose of my call is to confirm with you:

  1.  Which date is best for you to bring student to the MIAC for a day of Summer fun?
  2.  How many students will be attending from your community?
Here is the information that we have so far, regarding the MIAC Summer Reading Program.
The Dates that we have penciled in are:
Tuesday - Friday, July 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2019 and the following week we will offer a session on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
The theme this year is SPACE, and we are working on getting some great speakers and activities for this year.  So please, either respond to this email, or wait for a call from me this morning.  Please reply to this message even if you have already indicated a date that works for you and your kiddos.

For San I we will not be taking lunch kids enjoyed the lunch we had at MICA
last year.  All our Chaperones have to participate and keep kids under
control. We like where you guys put our kids in different groups.

Hi Faye,

We will not bring our own lunch.  There will be about 35 of us.

Please let me know how many groups you will be putting the kids in as it will help us manage our kids.  This helps us prepare who will chaperone which kids so one person doesn't get all the rowdy ones and some need extra attention.  Also so we can make sure each group gets a chaperone.  :0)

2)      We started using Atriuum as of April 01, 2018.  Prior to Atriuum we used Infovision: Evolve

3)      We paid $8,120 for five years of service (see attachment for services breakdown)

I just spoke to Amber Carrillo who is the Tribal Partnership Specialist for the 10 Southern Pueblos, Mescalero Apache Tribe and urban Native American organizations in the southern portion of the state, and she wanted me to let you all know that you are invited to a day-long training at Isleta Golf Course Conference Room on May 9, 2019, time: 8:00am - 4:30pm.  Please put this important meeting on your calendars and please make plans to attend.  I am sure that you all are aware of the importance of creating an accurate count of the people in our state, because this information  is used for all manner of government services from the number of Congress members that NM sends to Washington DC to housing and food assistance as well as funds for education and wellness. (Please see the attached letter). So I hope to see as many of you there as possible.  Thank you all for ALL you do!

Hello Tribal Librarians,

This is just a reminder that we will all be meeting at Isleta Pueblo (the
Golf Course Conference Room) on Thursday, May 9, 2019 for an all-day
training on the 2020 Census.  The program kicks off at 8:00am and will end
around 4:30pm.  I really hope to see all of you there, because the Census is
a BIG DEAL.  Thank you.

Hello Tribal Librarians,

I just spoke to Amber Carrillo who is the Tribal Partnership Specialist for
the 10 Southern Pueblos, Mescalero Apache Tribe and urban Native American
organizations in the southern portion of the state, and she wanted me to let
you all know that you are invited to a day-long training at Isleta Golf
Course Conference Room on May 9, 2019, time: 8:00am - 4:30pm.  Please put
this important meeting on your calendars and please make plans to attend.  I
am sure that you all are aware of the importance of creating an accurate
count of the people in our state, because this information  is used for all
manner of government services from the number of Congress members that NM
sends to Washington DC to housing and food assistance as well as funds for
education and wellness. (Please see the attached letter). So I hope to see
as many of you there as possible.  Thank you all for ALL you do!

Hello Tribal Librarians,
Just wanted to share a few thoughts with you all regarding the Summer Reading program.  It looks like the MIAC days are all filled up, so if you haven't contacted me letting me know that your library will be participating, then that part of the program is no longer available.  But please don't think that you can't participate in the Summer Reading fun - we are available to do outreach to your library or community beginning as early as June.  Just let Joyce Begay- Foss  (Tel: (505) 476-1272 /  Email: Joyce.Begay-foss at state.nm.us<mailto:Joyce.Begay-foss at state.nm.us>) know and she will set up a time for a visit.  Please contact us if you need supplemental materials/resources  for the Summer Reading program. The theme this year is: Space! Also please find attached a list of material that may be helpful to you all as you plan your summer programs.
